Hey All, This is a test to see if I have figured out how to change my font. Should be so simple right? Maybe for your average Joe but my name is Laurie so there goes that..lol. In any event I want you to all know that I do have items for sale on Etsy.com but you can also request an item here that you don't see on etsy and I will post it there. In addition, you can custom order and I will send you a photo of the layout prior to designing..this way your jeans will have your preapproval!! Well off to run errands. Took a few days off to give my fingers a rest...REMEMBER ALL MY ITEMS ARE 100% HAND SEWN. LOVE TO ALL. THANKS FOR FOLLOWING!! MORE SOON. I will be starting the tuxedo tonight!

CRAFT FAIR WAS SEW SEW FUN!!! ON TO THE TUXEDO CONTEST!!

So this being my first craft fair it was fun but also a learning experience. I see that networking is going to be a very important part of my business especially since my items are unique and really an exclusive clientele will be my customers. I have taken a break from sewing as I thought for sure my hands would fall off last week in preparation of the show. I have a list of more shows all over New York and as I get tidbits of information on them I will post them here and on my facebook. On facebook I have two pages..one that you can friend (drddesigns) and the other is an artist page.. D R D Designs aka Dillon R. Dziedzic Designs.  Doing all of this helps me feel connected to my son. I am really struggling to live a life without him physically in it. I know that he is with me, guiding me and giving me strength to try and get through each day. My life has completely changed and not for the better in any way. SEW SEW SEW I have to get back to my craft tomorrow. I have a tuxedo to design as part of a contest and to raise money for a charity of my choice.  More pictures will post tomorrow and I will do progression photos of the tux too. So I have been sewing my fingers off!!! I will be delighted when its Saturday, March 14th so I can sit on my butt all day and show people my items for sale. I will feel amazing if I sell even just one item. I am looking forward to this sale. I think it will be fun and if nothing else a learning process as this is my first craft fair so being a newbie I am hopeful I have not forgotten anything. I believe I am pretty prepared since I have a list of the following items to bring:  cash, cashbox, receipt book, pad for item stickers when purchased, bags, clothes hanger, sign for my business, business cards, tags for clothing with the DRD logo (peace sign of course), order forms, photo book of potential items to be made to order and a full length mirror. CHIME IN if you think of anything please leave me a comment.  Some of my items are for sale on ETSY.com under drddesigns as the store name. Requests can be made here as well. Thanks for looking!!! WINTER BREAK OH YEAH and a new venue for the JEANS

So I did bring a few things with me to work on while I am away for 2 nights to try and relax a little....its not really working but the hot tub feels great on my back!  I will be posting new items on either Saturday or Sunday. There you can just view the items without having to read the blog if you don't have time.  I went to an awesome store in Glenville, New York today called LaModaLisa....what a truly AWESOME place. Where Fashion meets Art for sure. They are having a contest that I entered to design a tuxedo using paint or embellishing or whatever you come up with. I am excited about this venture and hope some real creativity strikes. I have until March 31st to complete it. I will post pics of it for sure.  Until then one more night to try and enjoy some family time. Things will never be the same but we must try.

UNIQUE AND FUN...PEACE LOVE AND SKULLS....YES SKULLS

So I am back to creating and designed these capris for my own. Plan to wear them at the craft fair. I mean after all I believe one should wear and promote their own design!! So here they are. I also finished another pair with skulls on them. They look so much better in person and when I use the camera not the cell phone. I really have to get out and get some batteries for my camera!!
